Digital Photogrammetry Mapping

The classical definition of Photogrammetry is the process of deriving metric information about an object through the measurement made on the photograph of an object. Photogrammetry is the science of making measurements and features from photographs. With photogrammetric techniques, we can extract all 3d features from the stereo pair images. The x,y,z coordinates and dimensions for all features can be extracted and can be displayed in the CAD formats. This 3D feature extraction helps in urban planning and development.

MAPe IT Solutions offers a wide variety of photogrammetric services such as aerial photogrammetry and Digital Photogrammetric services to its clients worldwide. The aerial photogrammetry and digital photogrammetry services are obtained using aerial acquisition through digital ortho-photography. MAPe IT Solutions high-precision aerial photogrammetry and digital photogrammetry services are offered at extremely rational prices with accurate and cost-effective data collection for planning and lin aerial photogrammetry and digital photogrammetry services.

Aerial Triangulation [ AT ]

Aerial Imagery Acquisition - UAV/Drone & Aircraft

Aerial Triangulation is the process of assigning the ground control points to the aerial photographs thereby orienting and aligning the photographs to the exact global coordinate system. With aerial triangulation we can be able to calculate 3-dimensional coordinates for object elements on almost any object.

We need at least some points with known position that are visible in at least some of the photographs. These points we call ground control points, or any control points, the control points have to be a part of the aerial triangulation.

MAPe IT Solutions Team obtains the ground control points collected on site, to execute the Aerial triangulation process. The process of Aerial Triangulation is done by our Photogrammetry team after the successful completion of aerial survey.

Required Areas for the execution of Aerial triangulation:

  • Establishing Ground Control points
  • Line map of the project area showing flight lines.
  • Project boundaries.
  • Control point locations and identification numbers.
  • Description of Ground Control Points with coordinates.
  • Tie Points measure and transfer.
  • Block Adjustment.

DTM,DSM, And DEM

A DSM captures the natural and built features on the Earths surface. A DSM captures the natural and built features on the Earth surface. A DSM is useful in 3D modeling for telecommunications, urban planning and aviation.

A digital elevation model is a bare-earth raster grid referenced to a vertical datum. When you filter out non-ground points such as bridges and roads, you get a smooth digital elevation model. The built (power lines, buildings and towers) and natural (trees and other types of vegetation) are not included in a DEM.

When you void vegetation and man made features from elevation data, you generate a DEM. A bare-earth elevation model is particularly useful in hydrology, soils and land use planning.

DTMs are typically created through stereo photogrammetry .A DTM is a vector data set composed of regularly spaced points and natural features such as ridges and breaklines. A DTM augments a DEM by including linear features of the bare-earth terrain.

Planimetric Mapping

3D Planimetric & Feature extraction

With photogrammetric techniques, we can extract all 3d features from the stereo pair images. The x,y,z coordinates and dimensions for all features can be extracted and can be displayed in the CAD formats. This 3D feature extraction helps in urban planning and development.

Planimetry is horizontal features on a plane surface without elevation contours to depict the terrain, wherein topographic mapping contour and elevations are vital parts. Our advanced photogrammetry division enables us to capture data from small to large scale stereo models and generate digital topographic maps of high precision. Planimetric maps develops natural features with their exact coordinate locations. These features are comprised of vegetation, trails, fences, utility poles, drainage systems, driveways, road boundaries and curbs.

Our Planimmetry Services include

  • Different scale Planimmetry Mapping
  • Topography Mapping
  • Golf course Mapping.
  • Altimetry Mapping.
  • Manual contour Mapping.
  • Water reservation Mapping.
  • Hydrological Mapping.
  • Land use development Mapping.
  • Road corridor Mapping.
  • Mining Mapping.
  • Utility Mapping.

Topographic Mapping

Topographic mapping services helps in route planning, thematic data preparation, and decision-making for telecom and transport services and disaster management. The 3D topographic maps cover an area of approximately thousands of square kilometres and therefor require experienced expertise.

MAPe IT Solutions offers topographic mapping services to create comprehensive topographic maps and 3D topographic maps to the specified projection parameters, contours with 'Z' values, relief & planimetric details. MAPe IT Solutions has successfully executed large-scale topographic mapping and 3D topographic mapping project.

Contours Mapping

Manual contours and breaklines

Contours are not easy to be extracted for high dense vegetation and buildings. In that case with photogrammetry techniques. We can digitize the contours manually for the terrains areas not visible directly. Breaklines area also digitized for the terrain showing.

Digitize manual contours using photogrammetry even for the terrains having mostly covered with trees and buildings making the bare earth not exposed.
